San Pedrillo Ranger Station in Corcovado National Park

Description

The departure is from Marino Ballena National Park’s beach at 7:00 am, with the trip to San Pedrillo Ranger Station in Corcovado National Park taking roughly 1 hour and 30 minutes. On arrival, participants will receive a safety briefing and an overview of the planned activities, followed by a snack break featuring coffee, pastries, fruit, and natural juice. The group will then proceed to the ranger station for hike preparations. The initial hike follows one of the park’s longest trails, lasting about 1.5 to 2 hours on a flat path through the forest. This trail offers views of the local flora and fauna, including birds, mammals, reptiles, as well as towering trees and plants, and leads to the beach where the guide will discuss the local vegetation. After returning to the ranger station, there will be time for a picnic lunch to refuel before embarking on the second hike.

The subsequent hike is on a shorter and more rugged trail, typically lasting 1 hour and dependent on weather conditions, particularly during the rainy season. The return journey begins around 2:00 pm, with an anticipated arrival back between 3:30 and 4:00 pm.
